Red Sox Jersey

The Boston Red Sox were established in 1901.  They where called Bostons or Boston Americans or (in Boston) Americans from 1901 to 1907.  It wasn’t until 1908 that they were called Boston Red Sox or Red Sox.   The name is often shortened to Bosox or BoSox by sports caption writers - to distinguish from the Chicago White Sox (or ChiSox) - and also called simply The Sox by the team fans.

The Bosox have won 6 World Series titles,  in 2004, 1918, 1916, 1915, 1912 and 1903.
