Orioles Jersey

Baltimore Orioles were founded in 1893, as the Milwaukee, Wisconsin franchise in the minor Western League. In 1900, that league became the American League, which achieved major league status in 1901. The original Baltimore Orioles of the American League moved to become the New York Yankees.

The were also formerly known as the Milwaukee Brewers during 1894-1901 and St. Louis Browns during 1902-1953.

When the Orioles were the St. Louis Browns, they played in only one World Series, the 1944 matchup against their Sportsmans Park rivals, the Cardinals. The 1966 season was the start of an era of some great Orioles teams, during which they were a frequent contender, including winning the 1966, 1970, and 1983 World Series.
